SS-EC StepSERVOSS-EC StepSERVO Drives with EtherCAT®

SS-EC drives support CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE) control to allow them to be integrated into new and existing EtherCAT networks. Supported CiA 402 operating modes include Profile Position, Profile Velocity, Profile Torque, Cyclic Synchronous Position, and Cyclic Synchronous Velocity.

EtherCAT is an Ethernet-based fieldbus system suitable for real-time communications for automation applications.  StepSERVO technology is based on the closed loop servo control of high torque step motors.

With 5 different frame sizes, 2 different drive train options, multiple mounting and carriage options, and an IP54 protective cover option, along with a multitude of other customizable features the HMR was truly designed with flexibility in mind. Lexium MDrive New Premium Motor Option

Robust Lexium MDrive products now include a premium high torque motor option for all NEMA 23 (57mm) motor versions. Torque range increases by up to 50%, while product compact size and format are maintained.

These products are especially well suited for industrial applications, including an IP65 rated version with circular M12 connectors. High torque stepper motors may replace servos, lowering system costs and delivering continuous torque at low speed. Bulky gearboxes may also be eliminated, for more cost and space savings.
